such potential

I just found this old binder filled with projects from my Minority Literature class. It involved a lot of writing.

Here are a couple of entries in my daily journal (circa '05)

"I, honestly, don't know much about Native Americans. I know that they like to have dance parties and they smoke. I also know that they have crazy animal/verb names(Dances With Wolves). I also know that they were here before us and we stole the land. I know they like corn..."

That was, clearly, before I started reading a novel about Native Americans. Here is an entry after beginning the book.

"I like the book more than I thought I would. Honestly, I thought that Native American literature would be about nature and the moon and things like that. I did not know that lacrosse was so important to their culture. Anyway, I like the book. It's pretty enjoyable. I like that Jake is 12. It's pretty cool."

here's an excerpt from an entry about sports.

"When I was very little, I played tee-ball. I was VERY good at it. But, when I moved on to real baseball, I was not so good. So, I just quit. My sport, now, is dance. I've been doing it for like 6 years. You might be thinking that dance is not a sport... but, believe me... you get pretty sweaty."

I had such potential.

It's been...

over four months since I've updated.

Sorry, you all!

Many birthdays have happened, many good times... I had the chance to be a leader at youth camp! That was a fantastic time! I don't use the word "fantastic" lightly, either.

We have a dog, now. So, that's okay.

She's a bit stinky... and old... but, she's a good dog.

Live at Studio UO started this past Wednesday. I got to perform, again... in a different band, though. I think it went well.

Today is my brother's birthday!

All right, I have no more to say... except that I will be posting more, now.

ookay, bye.

Oh, no.

What's up, WORLD!

Hi.
Sorry I haven't updated like I said I would. I'm horrible.

There's really not too much to brag about lately.

I sing in BIG CHURCH for the first time on this coming Wednesday. I'm shaking with ANTICIPATION. But, really, I'm excited. It makes me a little bit nervous. That's why you're probably feeling weird about what you're reading right now.

But, it is exciting. I'm happy that I get to do it.

I have been driving a lot, lately.

I type at 365 WPM.

It's amazing.
So amazing.

Anyone have some place that I can work?

Can I live in someone's basement?

Goodbye,
Jaimee.

whooooa I Trust You to Kill Me.

Hey.

I just want to say how much I appreciate everything that's happening in my life right now.

I'm sitting here at Mandy's and she has fallen asleep on the couch, so I snuck off into the computer room.

I got a few emails just now that really made me happy and I really like life.

I just feel like I am where I should be and it's happy.

Okay..

Oh yeah, look out for me. I'll be on the worship team starting in April!!

Whoa yeah.

Goodbye.
